"
Andover Technology Partners worked with us to determine what we could do with
existing hardware. We were surprised and very pleased with the results. We
found the services instrumental in helping us develop a cost-effective approach
for NOx compliance at our coal-fired Edge Moor units."
- Mike Maziarz, Connectiv (Formerly Delmarva
Power and Atlantic Electric)
ATP assists clients using or considering the use of emission reduction technologies at their facilities and will work to ensure the client’s emission reduction program proceeds smoothly and at the lowest possible cost. We can perform the following services:
Follow up optimization and support

The
ATP difference is a unique combination of
Insight
and Experience
With extensive experience as a technology developer, a technology vendor, and a consultant, Dr. Staudt, ATP’s founder, understands both the limitations and capabilities of applying emissions control technology on actual electric utility and industrial facilities. However, in addition to practical know-how, Dr. Staudt has the training and analytical skills that give him the insight to identify solutions that other consultants frequently miss. His experience includes:
All of the clients that bought equipment from Dr. Staudt when he was at previous employers continue to use him as their consultant. And, many new clients have called on ATP to solve problems that other consultants missed. Contact ATP and experience the difference.
Our Integrated Air Pollution Control Technology Model includes cost and performance models for all of the technologies listed in the table below. It has been thoroughly tested and has been used to assess the cost of controlling mercury. It develops comprehensive cost and performance estimates for all of the technologies listed below. A library of fuels enables the analysis of different fuels under a range of boiler conditions. Or, the specific fuel characteristics can be input. It performs mass balances for all exhaust gas constituents, reagents, by-products, and other consumables, including parasitic power. It is the most up to date and comprehensive model that we are aware of for this purpose. For information on how this model has been used to estimate the cost of mercury controls, go to
http://www.epa.gov/appcdwww/aptb/publications.htm "Performance and Cost of Mercury and Multipollutant Emission Control Technology Applications on Electric Utility Boilers," EPA-600/R-03-110, October 2003. last item under "Miscellaneous."
And to see how this model can be used to integrate capital expenditure decisions and the use of the emissions allowance market, go to http://www.andovertechnology.com/Tech_Papers/Staudt_Multipollutant_Optimization.pdf
