In order to meet client needs it is necessary to add positions.  For administrative reasons, positions will initially be contract positions with the intent of converting to full-time salaried positions January 2009.  I am looking for smart, honest, hard-working people who are good at working with both numbers and people - people who are intellectually curious, naturally helpful to others, and who like to solve hard problems.  The new positions include full-time positions and student interns:

 

Consultant

Responsibilities

·       Analysis of air pollution control markets, technology, and data.

·       Development of models for analysis of air pollution control technology cost and performance

·       Preparation of reports and presentation of results to clients

·       For more senior candidates, business development

Essential Skills

·       BS in quantitative field (engineering, math, hard sciences, management sciences)

·       Good quantitative skills, including good familiarity with Microsoft Excel

·       Enjoy working on a wide variety of projects in a small-business environment

·       Good interpersonal and communication skills and strong work ethic

·       Interest in energy and environmental technology

·       US citizenship or permanent residency visa (only for full-time employees)

The Ideal Candidate

·       BS or greater in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant experience in energy or air pollution control

·       Some economic and business education a big plus

·       2-5 years experience in industry

·       Has an interest in business development

Compensation

Overnight Travel

·       Most of the work involves analysis that does not require travel.  So, travel is not expected to be very great at least for the first year.  However, overnight travel might occasionally be necessary, depending upon client needs.  And, as your role evolves with time, travel demands may increase.
