Many
of our Clients are investors in or developers of technology used in
energy-intensive industries. These clients want to know the value of their
investment (or potential investment) and ensure that the risks associated
with turning the technology into a business are managed effectively. They
want a strategy for protecting and maximizing the value of their technology
for the long term. This frequently entails working with the client's patent
counsel to develop a sound Intellectual Property strategy. A
very large portion of our work is directed toward helping our clients
understand certain markets for their technology and develop a plan for
growth. In many cases clients already have a technology or service and seek
our advice on how to most effectively penetrate a market with it. In other cases, clients who want to enter
a market may need a technology to do so. In these cases, we work to identify
the right technology and the right strategic partner, when appropriate. Some
